The Best Kept Secret in Bloomsburg
As part of its mission to bring the arts to all communities throughout the NEPA region, The Exchange, a 501(c)3 organization, hosts a monthly Blues, Roots & Americana Listening Room in its storefront art gallery, located in beautiful downtown Bloomsburg, PA.
On the last Wednesday of most months, the art gallery is transformed into an intmate, up close and personal space (max 48 seats) for musicians to perform in, with rotating art exhibitions as the back drop. We feature a range of acts ~ solo artists and small bands, acoustic and electric ~ in an atmosphere conducive to enjoying and experiencing the music.
Our first Listening Room was on July 26, 2017, opening with Mike Miz. Since then we have been privileged to have not only local and regional artists perform, but also national and inter-national artists, as well as multiple Blues Music Award winners.
Since Covid, we have been producing a video of each performance, which is then loaded up to The Exchange's YouTube channel.
This is a true Listening Room. We ask patrons to please refrain from engaging in conversation while the musicians are performing, unless, of course, the musicians are conversing with the audience.
